The suns bright rays
beat down on my skin
Outside is where I lay
As spring showers begin
I lay still and let
Mother Nature sprinkle
kisses upon my face
As I stare at the morning sky
So beautiful
So bright
Its sights like this
That make me glad that
I'm alive

Excuse me ma'am,
Will you sit down and talk to me?
A beautiful daughter you have,
a proud mother you must be.
Excuse me ma'am,
Will you have a talk with me?
I think I'm in love with your daughter,
But then again I've always been much of a dreamer.
Excuse me ma'am,
I'd like to talk about that day in February,
Or that night I will say
Your beautiful daughter sleeping soundly in her bed
Not making a peep
A soft pillow under her head
She thought she was safe,
She thought everything was okay
But that night you bursted into her room with anger!
THAT NIGHT YOU BEAT HER RIGHT IN THE SPOT THAT SHE LAIED!
Excuse me ma'am,
You're a selfish mother
I don't know what you were thinking,
why couldn't you stay calm?
You beat her,
mentally and physically
Excuse me ma'am,
Tell me what you felt
as you smacked the belt against your daughters soft skin!
Tell me what you heard!
Definitely not your innocent daughters cries and prayers
Excuse me ma'am
Tell me what you felt the next day
As you saw your helpless child with marks on her arm
A swollen face
And welts on her legs
Excuse me ma'am please tell me,
How do you call yourself a mother?
