New Year With God

With yet another season behind, does God’s Truth come to mind?
For as this season is packed away, The Lord God, is here to stay,
Were you aware, during this year, that you were able to draw near,
The Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, so that He is part of your life?

Will you follow the usual instead, ignoring God in the year ahead?
Beginning with New Year’s Day, dismissing Truth amidst the fray?
During the celebration and cheer, forgetting that He’s always near,
Near enough, to be in your life, starting this year with Jesus Christ.

Remember that babe in that stable, Who is God and is surely able,
To change this year ahead for you, in ways, which you never knew,
Not only the year but everything, as you acknowledge Him as King,
Everything in your life will change, while the Lord remains the same.

A new year, including God can be, a new time to reflect on Eternity,
Unlike those holidays of the past, this is a time that will forever last,
That future provided by The Lord, Who, by many today, is ignored,
But, ignore Him not this year friend, to begin a new life with no end.

Christ went from the stall to Calvary, so we could join God’s Family,
As The Lord grants us a New Birth, right here upon the present earth,
A choice that begins in our heart, when with God, we get a new start,
In not just a new year for you, but, an Eternity, from a heavenly view.

Although all humans are ephemeral (cavatina)

Although all humans are ephemeral,
let us this night
in a certain kind of fidelity
find our delight,
act as if we both are truly godly,
as without fright
our dear love could outlast everything
as in it we could be ever living.

FALTERING TONGUE

He did not want anything
after the sex and death of a protagonist.
Rebuffed and sliced through the body,
the onus was left on toxic mix.

He died in deprivation, in intensity
of hunger and fluidity of thirst.
The quartet of grenades stretched too far
the indemnity of shell shocked apostles.

A clan lost the sense of hearing.
A mystic odyssey of massacre, raising
the doubt of gifts in heaven. The starchy
statements and commands scattering.

Poem: Not Concerned

O my Lord, I am not concerned,
with things that do not involve me.
Let all forms of pride or haughtiness,
be set aside and permanently forgotten.
Let me bask under Your righteousness.

O my Lord, I am not concerned,
with silly, worldly desires of vanity,
which are solely designed to distract me.
As one of Your children, let me be content
with my Kingdom purpose and Your decrees.

O my Lord, I am not concerned,
with the weariness of this human flesh,
since I have chosen to place my hope in You.
Thank You, for My strength and satisfaction.
So now, I wait patiently for my breakthrough.

O my Lord, I am not concerned,
with retribution for wrongs against me,
but allow me to always carry forgiveness.
Let Your joy be evident in my frail life,
spreading seeds of goodness and kindness.

Our meeting was

Our meeting was a great decision of God,
like sunshine
that comes overwhelming after the rain,
as a wedge against pain
that for years had held onto our lives
and when you did appear
there was a deep gloss on your face,
and a smile with a heavenly kind of light.

TRAILING WAR

In search of peace
the free hand was inflicting casualities.
The kids were buried like insects in a rubble.

Step by step in speculation
the streets were livid with rustic murals
of splintered blood on walls.

The foxgloves had lobbed rockets
on tall heads. Beleaguered
eyes nailed to fire.

I am watching you my art,
to witness the agony of man.
Burn, burn my cupped hands with snatched words.

A TUMULTUOUS WELCOME

Tell me about the bluetoothed man,
of his stark naked truth, in toe
for a brief pause. The toll was mounting.
The tallest fraud of chilling facts. The city of
cold murders of hermaphrodite. The sex of
meanest level to become rich in seduction of wooly legs.
The wasps were hovering home. The stings
of famous wives.

Predicament of deficit bombs. Motivated artillary.
It is incursion of sterling thieving, of sisyphean
pain. The plaques were becoming honorable.
The spoon bills landing on dry lake.

Bracing the embattled knees, I dismantle my
life to start again from living the
death of beautiful.

A Dead Heart Beat

Lets play a little game,
But the price is a heart beat,
Anyone can join,
But you must follow me,

Down this road of alcoholic pain,
Open your books, Take notes of the scene,
The bottle won't help,
And no one hears their screams,

Stand back and watch,
As they reach for the stars,
But they're too afraid to touch them,
They're cursed by their scares.

Do you see how it hurts?
How the pain never ends?
Remember if you take a chance,
To never tie your hands,
Their screams never stop,
And their hearts don't beat,
All they want,
Is to feel, Like you and me.

Far Too Long

I thought that I could run from you,
That I could leave you behind,
But you always seem to find me,
And take over my life,

I thought emptiness was a phase,
Like smoking dope to ease the pain,
I thought you would be gone by now,
I hoped I would be better somehow,

What do you do when you don't want to go on?
When your legs are to weak,
And the pain is to strong,
Do you wait for a little hope?
That you know will never come?

I don't understand,
How they all move on,
I don't understand,
How they don't feel wronged,
