Church

The Church is Church my brother, a place to meet with one another,
A place to meet with our Lord, where grace and mercy are implored,
That place for worship and praise, lifted up to The Ancient of Days,
Men gathering, to bring glory to, The One Who created me and you.

Church is a body of those, who know, The Lord and desire to grow,
In the knowledge of Christ our Lord, as Christ’s Body in one accord,
A place to encourage others in Christ, while living in this present life,
Support, that we can only receive, from men in life who also believe.

Church is more than a gathering, of men together to praise and sing,
As it’s a place to seek The Lord, who, by love makes us one accord,
As believers are in the presence of, Jesus Christ, Who reigns above,
As Christ builds us together in unity, through the power from Calvary.

The local Church is the very heart, of The Savior’s mission, to impart,
The very Truth of God’s Salvation, in reaching each and every nation,
The Lord scattered His early Church, for His mission of greater worth,
So that as His Church, we could herald, God’s Truth into all the world.

Today’s Mission, is still the same, when Believers gather in His Name,
To focus upon our Lord God first, while The Savior builds His Church,
As The Lord grants direction to, His Living Stones, that’s me and you,
To finish God’s purpose, through us, all, for the glory of Christ Jesus.

As if time only belongs to you and me

Last night while lying next to me
you did say pretty words,
you told me how much you do love me,
that your whole life long you wanted somebody like me
and there was something beautiful in each sentence,
it felt as if we were starting on a journey of discovery
and now that the morning is peeping through the window
you still hold my hand tightly in yours,
while outside doves do flutter and coo.
It’s as if time is lingering
and I wonder if this is a fairy tale
when a bird looks in through the window
and I leave you to sleep like a princess
as if time only belongs to you and me.

There is rain falling somewhere far away

There is rain falling somewhere far away
and I do smell it in the air
when just before dusk
we wander through our garden
and a lightning bolt
flashes in the distance like a searchlight

but the last glory of the sun
still glitters in your laughter
when you take my hand
and astonished like a child
look at one flower after the other.

THE RETREAT

The heritage. Storm of violence
in our chromosomes: perverts the senses.
Spooky fear of burnt houses, broken limbs,
utterly committing as witness of silent
unbuilding, as the future defies the
stunt of withdrawl.

Not for tomorrow, the mother weeps
for the exiled trespassers on dead sea.
Drowned corridor of sinking ship. The explosions,
feathers destroying the direction of winds.

Life picks up the rags of pride, of 'me'.
Terror waits on the lips of sorrow
like an obsessive maniac, ready to jump.

Some candle, bring me some light.

Rift

Rift...adrift..grows,
For, so many broken vows.
A day...gloomy and grey,
Although, a Sun, bright and gay.
All bored, and busy...
All alone...within a family.
Millions surround,
Yet, my loneliness I flaunt.
Waking...working...sleeping,
Waking...working..sleeping,
..........................................
Waking...working...sleeping,
 And a disillusionment,
And a death bed.

Poem: Spiritual Secret (Broken Vessel)

With the inherent power of divine words,
I can wield spiritual swords of strength.
Although His presence can reside within me,
I must recognize His plan and truly see…

how I must conduct myself on a daily basis.
Moving forward with Faith in Christ Jesus,
I’m able to conquer all earthly circumstances
and rejoice in victory with my Lord of the Dance.

Overcoming fleshly struggles and fiery trials,
is but one aspect of the frail, human condition.
Utilizing my talents on behalf of the Kingdom’s focus,
I truly can fully recognize and fulfill my purpose.

The desire of God is to draw people unto Himself.
While remaining a yielded, humble and broken vessel,
the sacred essence of Christ in me adequately shines,
to reach hurting individuals… with His Light Divine.

To love you above all other things

To love you above all other things,
to at night lie spooned,
to know the beauty of your body
is a God given gift that I do not deserve.

There is gladness

There is gladness in your pretty eyes
but they are wounded
and are the colour of grass and dark ground
and I wonder about your thoughts,
see a cynical smile around your pretty mouth.

DRUMMING

in hired spring and naked thighs

the eternal sorrow did not go, it was living in our
memory under the gun of an unknown soldier. The
mania

had brought the overwhelming jeopardy of artificial
smiles, the swords, and ropes and different

tools of torture brew abomination, my clay
absorbs the shock, the abandonement of pain;

I reach for the icicles of veiled fire to burn
the generosity, the sacrificial amputation

of one's own neck in service of opposition

I see five small sparrows bathing

I see five small sparrows bathing
where they wash their pied feathers in the drinking bowl,
and stand twittering with slapping wings
to shake off small drops of water
from their feathers

and think that God
hold His hand even over the sparrows
while I witness their joyful dance.
