A FATHER'S DROP

Sweet child of today, man of tomorrow,
If you see confusion, if you see sorrow,
If you see delusion and if you see terror,
Please try to understand the human error.
Take care of you, my child, as mentioned above,
To recognize wisdom, to accept true love;
Avoid the pitfalls of envy and greed.
Never grab what you don't really need,
And if you see a reason to judge your poor father,
I hereby say to you as one soul to another:
I loved you and cherished you the best that I could.
(If I had known better then I surely would.)
Dive deep into you and examine your heart.
Not always goes well what seems a great start.
Some greater forces see me, see you,
Directing our lives and seeing us through.
Judge not by appearances, not by facade,
And always see through this great old charade.
Believe when I say, I did you my best,
And remember - true love will stand any test.

BEAUTY’S A PRISON

Beauty’s a prison when love is gone
No matter which way you turn
Forget the freedom you once won

The window landscape’s no more fun
The TV still goes on to burn
Beauty’s a prison when love is gone

Time for bitter tears to run
You chill a glass of bitter spurn
Forget the freedom you once won

The sights have faded, the day is done
You go to bed to toss and turn
Beauty is a prison when love is gone

Beauty's a prison when love is gone
Forget the freedom you once won

FAR AWAY IN AMERICA

(Written a couple of months after Sep 11, 2001)

Ablaze the airflight motion
On the realm of glass and steel,
Amid usual morning chatter
Near future did not feel.

They came from a nightmare vision
As a clear blue sky surprise
With a message from a place called Hell
Where their happiness was devised.

The smoke, the fire, the anguish,
The screams on people's lips,
The vicious truth of Destiny
On a lover's fingertips;

I stumbled over concrete blocks
As if not miles away,
I tried to breathe against the smoke
Astonished, in dismay,

Squeezed my heart into a puddle,
Crushed my head against a wall,
For the faith I had in mankind
Never ever stood so small.

Where were the promises of Life,
Of Liberty and all?
The answers lingered in the ruins
That were once two buildings tall.

So let's put our hands together,
In unison offer prayers;
To the Lord of all forgiveness,
To the One that really cares,

Please deliver us from Evil
That can take so many faces;
It consumes the world around us
And it burns our inner places.

We pray to learn the Gift of Love
But this time it be for real,
Take the lessons our enemies
In those planes could never feel.

The twisted minds that could not see
Beyond their evil turn,
Are what we never should become
To avoid more planes that burn.
