This garden has been through it all
Icy cold winters follow each difficult fall
Each season it gives us more ground more time
But know this ground is not ours to claim
We can be plucked and thrown
Like weeds from this place
Left with no WE
Our garden is what we have to hold
Our love and light what makes us grow
Each and every sun that shows
The gift of time that can't be loaned
It was you so wise that once told me
with no grass and no trees
Life just is not as green
I know the summer must come and go
But not now- we've got a ways to go!
can't you see we're at our peek?!
I have watched our flowers bud and wilt and bud
but as of late i can't see much
roll up your sleeves darlin
pull some weeds
Please don't call those clouds round me
I want to feel the sun upon my leaves
Stretch and grow -
but if you will decide
I would like to know
If you are going to grow with me
