Empty Sense
The kiss has died,
the tongue lies baron,
Empty.
The mouth has silenced,
the lips sown shut,
Taste me, empty.
The vision has darkened,
the cataracts do cover,
Empty.
The sight has vanished,
the orbs of blackness,
See me, empty.
The sound has abated,
the laughter shattered,
Empty.
The hearing has ceased,
the forgotten loving words,
Hear me, empty
The skin has withered,
the once lace flesh,
empty.
The touch has hardened,
the lost embrace,
Feel me, empty.
The fragrance has decayed,
the stench of self,
empty.
The spice has died,
the perfume of nought,
Smell me, empty
