Shadow

I will be your friend
through this woeful time,
Ease your heart and
ease your pain,
Clear your wounds
with the sweetest wine,
Give sanity to your
frightened brain,
Erase from you your
aging lines,
Take back the fear
caused by time,
I’ll treat your
problem as though it’s mine,
Hold you dear within
my mind.
My name is shadow,
For that’s what I do,
Remove the darkness
and comfort you,
Come find me where
the myths are born,
Ask for me,
Call my name,
I shall reveal to you
my midnight form and help you clear this heavy rain.
