Scarlet Roses

The laughter of the bright red
roses, thorns that puncture; dreams
staring into night sky
stars all glowing bright, they gleam.

Bleeding from the lack of trust;
Roots of lies keep deepening.
Branches reach up to the clouds,
Leaves cry with no reasoning.

Fragile wishes petals hold,
Breaking with the smallest touch.
Sickly sweet, the smell, it drifts;
Thorn-less roses, small hands clutch.

Moonlit dewdrops fall in silence
Everlasting petals- dry.
Scarlet roses rise to sunlight
Beauty’s in the beholders eyes.

The Glass Wall

A quiet
glistening
golden
light, shining back at me
through my mirror. but when I turn around,
I see nothing.

Back, again, I look,
at the mirror in front of me
and the light still gleams
so brightly
so strongly
I felt as if I could touch it...

So I did.
my hand went through the mirror
like it was going through
a pool of water.
And so, as if by instinct
the rest of my body followed.

And in a moment,
a moment which felt like eternity
I awoke.
In what seemed like a rural village
of such a long, long time ago..

'Victoria! ' they called.
Who were they calling..?
Could it be..?
The people of the village flooded me.
They told me I hit my head while I was riding my horse
and fell off it's saddle.

Still today I sit here
In my front porch staring at the horses grazing
Especially at the one I fell off of,
And remember.
Remember that single light
That brought me back home.

Cherry Tree

Not the first love
nor the second,
maybe not even the third.
But so far, this is the only one that's lasted
and had decided to bloom.

So I have let it grow..
watered it with tears..
fed it with luminous smiles..
and hoped that one day
maybe...

Our tears would turn into fruits,
smiles into branches
and a single flower of a beating heart
would blossom at its height.
There is a promise.

A promise to keep this flower alive,
alive and wide open
like my arms that never close
towards the one I love the most
Only to wrap around them.

And at the clove of summer and autumn,
cherries fall down, our love will be planted
into the soil in which we stand in
a soil of hate, envy,
shame.

But the seed will grow.
strive in the dry land
where no one understands..
no one takes a second glance
And a forest will eventually form.

But everything grows old..and one day must leave...
but our love will continue growing,
Our initials engraved
deep
into the trunk of our cherry tree.

White Dress

You look so pretty
all dressed in white,
a smile on your face,
only if I

Could be next to you
and wipe away those tears.
Because promises don't count
if they were not kept.

Keep your chin up, my love,
don't look down
look up at the sky
and take off your frown

I will love you
always and forever
so keep that promise you gave me
As I watch from over.

For the first time,
I'm in two places at once.
Before it seemed impossible,
but now my time is done.

So keep your promise, my love,
wear that white dress.
Keep a smile on your face.
Even now that I'm dead.
