Mid-Life Crisis Interrupted
This
is more than a hot flash
Or
men not pausing
To
look at you anymore
It’s
about being warm all over
Con-stant-ly
Warming
up for something
Not
yet seen
And
clearly could not be erased
Something
not too far off
But
can’t be pinpointed
It’s
a mid-life crisis
Interrupted
It’s
the time in life
where
you arrive at the fork in the road
with
a knife and a spoon in your hand
And
knowing that endings
Does
not mean failures
But
your deliverance
Is
the testament that stands
It’s
finally acknowledging
That
you have talent
And
using all your courage
To
show the world
No!
this is just not a flash
In
the pan, a bag of chips and a pickle
This
is a pause
Just
because
At
mid-life, a crisis is simply
Redundancy
with a tickle
