Untitled Poem

On the mind
Must not be spoken
Words to say
Trust never broken

Painful glare
Eyes glaze
Smile so fake
Stuck in a daze

Small whisper
Steady lie
Blind and bleeding
Still won't die

Try to stand
Cannot not fall
There you are
Steady and tall

What a past
Scared away
Will not last
But I will stay

Letter to the Past

This is a letter to the past
Telling myself to make things last
I spent my whole life thinking
How could my ship keep sinking?

It's not so bad
It's never so sad
I spent so much time cryin'
About people and their lyin'

It's not bad
It made me sad
And sometimes mad
But I'm just glad
Cause I had some fun
Even with none
Of you to follow
Maybe its just hard to swallow.

This is a letter to the past
Telling myself its not so bad.

Does it Hurt?

Does it hurt to be beautiful?
I would guess that you would know.
Jaws drop as you enter the room,
people wish they could be you.

Does it hurt to be amazing?
People faint to your smile.
They wish to be noticed by you,
they wish to be with you.

Does it hurt to be you?
No? It will very soon.
Your skin will crinkle and fade
Your teeth will rot and crack
Your hair will gray and die
And everyone around you will forget your name.

It might not hurt now.
But, don't worry darling.
It will soon.
