Stark

I am insomniac through memories, I stumble
Hard to resist, the lure so unceasing,
You go missing, and hope I walk with phantoms
Turn away truth, sweep off your footprints

Live away from me, your solo nights haunted
Hunting for your sleep, feeding shadows
The stars and the lone moon thru my ghost hands
Strain to reach your skies still, spangling echoes

Ignorance tossed a poisoned knife, one morning
Caught rage in her dark hair, her sanity broken
Her facts stripped, layers away from your winters
How do you breathe now, away from us

Fly with me again, ride the winds we always do
Angels in exile don’t lose their silver wings
Wake up early tomorrow, catch the dawn for me
Cried a fallen angel, and God cried helpless too…

Abstract

Letters etched into her mornings lie frayed
The author’s ritual, a prerogative waned
Words lie lost on abandoned shores
Little temples destroyed by harsh faith

She walks alone to the dawn each day,
Rising from promises muddied by his absence
Looking out for him, insane reasons to find him
Tracing futures out from his distant footprints

Waiting by the shores, her fragility bared
Silent footfalls echo his lost music notes
Hope torn apart, too mangled to sing
Crashing waves, her sanity stung

Wake him up memories, don’t turn him traitor
Mazes wind all destinies known to mankind
She lives on the brink of stolen futures
Spiraling alone, falling into her last dance…

Reckless Angels

They fly over lives, goddesses of change
Casting shadows in time, turning sanctuaries
Decaying claims crumble old and bored
To lilting choices raised from silent calls for help

They shrug off barren minds, limping handicapped
Smiling their victory at rage and helplessness
A broken heart sometimes, a call answered nevertheless
To bring lives together that went astray on familiarity

These angels though wing on, dancing tireless to the mystery
No spite or ignorance bruise their morphing realities
Guardians of keep, they tender forgotten hopes
An adulterous spoke to a wheel that needs the strength

Warping on, their work always seen in distortion
They pulse in networks of veiled wants and lustre
Their purity known and felt by souls they have touched
Lie harpooned by the rest of a world that has lost…

Picking Diamonds

I was picking diamonds from the heavens
When my hair got tangled with the stars in the breeze
Fireflies reached up in glee too, their soft glow dancing
Singing our mirth awash with moon-paint, I smiled

Then the night tugged gently, pulling away the sky
For the dawn to stroll in, with her show-stopper colors
The diamonds in my hands were spilling their brilliance
Reaching down to earth, to jewel my silent hopes

I learned to fly with the winds on rapture
Their swoosh, music to my hopes on wish-pegs
They warm themselves in the summer-sun promises
Waiting to burst alive on my future rainbows

Some nomads we pick treasures from the future
The skies and nature our only witness
We walk with them prized in our hunting bags
Carrying hope in its precious revered status...

Moon's Song

I race sunsets, I wear out sunbeams
I am the madness inside of every desire
I tiptoe in motes that hold distant promises
Tossing little secrets to winds of change

I harness the sun away from his days,
His evenings bound to my silver mane
Dusks churn out from our brilliance together
And then I dance in, queen of your nights

I haze your mind under my lunar gaze
And draw you out of your languid life
I sweep out wishes and pour them into days
And have the sun catch them, to bring them alive

I am the goddess of tides and waves
Your allegiance to me is bound by the forces
The Sun and Earth birthed you into this world
But it was me you were destined, to find your dreams…

Dichotomy

Cherishing moments, their memories flee time
Living their lives away by themselves
Solitude marks them, their dance without the other
Threading secrets into their lone existence

She trails his footsteps, and he, he goes where she would
Tandem in life, their rhythm in perfect symmetry
Their silence fall gently on each other’s universe
Keeping them together in two separate worlds

The prince of darkness cannot hold her light
It’s a sequence they are cloaked in, to battle out life
Their times together cannot be revealed
That’s the price they pay, to live out their truth

Grant them a wish, and it would be, each other
Just the one thing their lives would not hold
Ways of realties steel meshed in the matrix
Locked in love, forging on through layered realities...

Turning Dawn

Skipping daintily on dew drenched mornings
She wakes up the enigma in sleeping flowers -
Purple lilacs and yellow buttercups open up
As the sun rises on her delicate morning radiance

She rides the gentle breeze, first kiss of a new day
Touching sleepy minds, their worries brushed off
Nurtured by her soothing glow, the day climbs up again
To the waiting world, jaded from all the nights gone

She is the fragrance of new promises on the horizon
She cleanses little regrets, shaping them around
Breathing her freshness into their porous memories
A day unleashed for new beginnings from old songs

She is our heritage from the sun’s own treasure trove
Gracing our mornings, hewing its myriad possibilities
She paints afresh tirelessly though our churn is high
Turning dawn, working magic into the brilliant sun…

Release

That’s my soul in flight, across freedom
Winging through meadows, calm, and soaring high
I look down and see no one, not a single person
Just the flowers singing in the sunshine wash

The wind across my face, it is gentle on me, I am home
The elation I know is forever, I am a speck that was life
Spiraling in vantage, I am now free, in release
No mars, no scars from the old talons of humanity

I can sing, my voice clear over buried hurts
Carrying the crystal sparkle of my guileless spirit
I am luminance that the light carries as its heritage
Unleashed in my essence, I finally find my sanctuary

Goodbye earth, your dimensions couldn’t hold me
You cant have been my mother ever
You are browning yourself, with the trauma around you
Lets meet again when you find your release…

Crazy Notes...

I woke up the flowers before sunrise today
To hear about the imminent song
They seem to know your route to Eden
As wisdom paused too late and shuddered

Yesterday I was at the edge of the world
My silence around me did some crazy moves
The frangipani dew rained wet on my senses
Fragrant whispers as my sanity swayed with you

Our jasmines lit your radiance once more
Star-lights on me, your face from before sunrise
Your silver-hair kissed from my sated nights
Your arms slowly tightening their moon grip

You cant let go of me as yet, as we drench
Hand in hand in the rain, as I vapor in you
From days you are gone, till you return to us
Slivers of reality tangoing schizophrenic…

Eve

The wind howled its savage tunes
Moving the rain to torrent gloom
The dark wailed to the lonely night
As lightning lanced great blinding blows

She stood still in that treacherous moment
Waking to life that the creator wouldn’t share
Braving wrath and the serpent’s desertion
Innocent Eve birthed History and its Descendants

She was ruled by a jealous God
Of mysterious games and dark threats
Spurned by his territorial reserve and plays
Eve walked life to learn, to live

Braving centuries and newer Gods
She walks lives and carpets wisdom
Setting paces and wheeling destiny
A tireless creator scouring the same hearth

Now as God talks of free-will and sovereignty
Eve moves on sloughing old lampoons
Walking tall, among scholars and New-age
Smiling at secrets she learnt on that savage night.
