I have fifteen published poems in quite an array of diverse literary magazines. I am a poet/essayist/prose writer as well. I began writing prose back in eighth grade shortly after reading Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven," which opened my eyes to seeing the beauty of literature. I continued writing prose until I was serving in the U.S.A. Navy where I met an amazingly awesome poet named Philip Mcdonald, whom thoroughly convinced me to start learning form. I began learning different forms such as acrostics, double acrostics, diamantes, a merging of acrostic and diamante together in which I called them triple acrostic diamantes, sonnets, haiku, free verse, experimentials, and many others as well. I have been compared to William Wordsworth, William Blake, Carl Sandburg, Edward Lear, Allen Ginsberg, and Charles Buwkoski as well. I am extremely passionate about poetry, and all sorts of literature as well. I love to read classic books and analyse them for my leisure and to study their writing techniques as well.
