So many times that I talk with You
there is a peace that comes into my heart,
its as if my worries suddenly do disappear
as if I am looking at the world with new eyes
and then I see every small flower
while my own fears are left to Your omnipotence.
Gert Strydom, 6 may 2014
Now that I know the smell of your skin,
and the soft touch of your body is known to me,
and the unmistakeable glance
with which you do look at me
it does look
as if you do love me more intensely
and suddenly it wipes out
all of the empty years in between.
Satish Verma, 6 may 2014
From the ramparts of a castle
a wallflower jumps.
A lynch mob discovers a prehistoric sex.
Silent roots crossing the deniability
endorse a fluid dynamics
of a scandal.
The fascination of a fairy tale makes
a lover seek the revenge.
He hates, he strikes, but fails to impress
the horizon beyond the galaxies.
Black laughters of fake seers
make an entry to plunder the stars.
A tremor in the voice betrays
the ambushed faith.
Now where to go, find the peace of death?
Time’s white hands are snarled in pain;
cannot write the elegant script
of surrender.

Sometimes its if my best friends
and even my wife
are set on another place
and do not hear a word I say
but constantly I do know
that You are interested
in everything that does bother me
and in the things that bring meaning
and does excite me.

So lovely on that morn
when our kisses were born,
beauty had joy forever
and somehow we did change,
but it did not feel strange,
I wish it to be never
much different from this
a fragile kind of kiss,
the flower wilts however.
Stephen J. Vattimo, 3 may 2014
Stand strong
In the dark don't allow your knees to grow weak
Stand strong
Be fore your adversary your strength will peak
If you seek the Spirit of the Humble and the meek
People with cold stone heart seek to devour people
Using weapons they have fashioned from their mean streak
while they stumble around weak and lost in the dark
People with warm hearts of clay
will find there way through the dark following the light of faith
Using the shield of peace and the sword of Truth to ward of the attack of the adversary
Stand strong
Don't fret when some days you are met with the elements of weariness and dreariness
The Holy Spirit heals a weather beaten soul that is open to Him
Stand strong
Don't allow adversity to erode your God given hopes and dreams
Through faith in Christ all will overcome our adversary in this world
Stand strong
In the dark don't allow your knees to grow weak

All of my words and thoughts
that I have got to share with You
do today sound so meaningless
as if I cannot find the right words to speak
and all that I can ask
is that You have got to help me.

Love is much more
than being together in bed,
much more than the solace
which two bodies, two souls find
in a accomplished intimate act
and I could have told you
how deep its intensity, its principles go
but when you are sleeping on my chest
the whole wide world is at rest
and maybe then love is at its best
while I am truly blessed.

What is the full depth of my inner soul?
How far does it fall short of infinity,
given the known limits of my being human?
Can all of the crevices, cracks, fissures,
scissures and abyss of the empty places
in my soul be filled when I desire Your Presence
to consume every void of my existence?
While complaining, gossiping, and rage
can grieve Your Holy Spirit, I’m only posing
these questions… to expand my understanding.
I’m thankful that You will never run out
of forgiveness, patience, love and grace.
Walking blind in the carnality of the flesh
will keep me as a pathetic, miserable Christian.
As one of Your sons, I’ve embraced Your principles
while striving towards my spiritual maturity.
On many occasions, I’ve tasted small portions
of Your eternal Peace, Joy and Righteousness.
Continue to gently lead me by Your Holy Spirit,
so that the empty places… have no sway over me.

(in answer to Dorothy Parker)
If you take any love / lover that you may,
with whom to kiss and play
some will be insincere
even if for a time they hold you dear,
but if a poet / poetess
do you at a time impress
then run and flee if you can
as these people are different from the rest,
they view things in life in another kind of light
and that’s the way that it is
while sometimes at night
you may find bliss and a kiss may be just a kiss
your love / lover may be impressed by his /her or its awesomeness
or have feelings about little things
as if a phenomenon they do possess
as if even the wind at a times sings.
