Upheld In His Hand

During the times I don’t understand, I am upheld in God’s hand.
Even when unfaithfully in despair, God extends His loving care,
Always faithful is God’s Love, which He directs from up above,
In the present time of my life, comforted by The Spirit of Christ.

He faithfully guides all I do, as His faithfulness sees me through,
Through every trial and tribulation, as the Author of my salvation,
Even situations that I can’t see, my Shepherd leads me faithfully,
As my Savior and my friend, Christ guides me safely to the end.

Through each trial I can stand, not on my own but in God’s hand,
Even if that trial doesn’t cease, through it all, He gives me peace,
For The Savior won’t leave my side, so in The Savior I can abide,
So in a trial, make no mistake, from my life He will never forsake.

How faithful The Lord is to me, for Him I want to be a testimony,
Of God’s faithfulness within my life, for my Savior, Jesus Christ,
As my Lord guides me day to day, with His Word along the way,
Through testing, dark as night, with Christ being my guiding light.

Jesus Christ leads me to the end, as my Savior, Lord and friend,
The end, that isn’t here for me, but that future place, trouble free,
At a spiritually higher altitude, when I receive a Heavenly Attitude,
With that pure mind of Jesus Christ, when I enter into Eternal Life.

From Law To Grace

When you think of man’s salvation, you must turn to God’s Revelation,
Where God revealed His eternal plan, for every woman, child and man,
As you read, you shall understand, God’s Truth, extends to every land,
Although God had chosen Israel, to reveal the plan He intends to fulfill.

God started with The Law, with deeds, to show all men their true needs,
With God’s intention from the very start, to reveal to man his true heart,
Man’s heart that cannot keep His Law, the consequence of Adam’s fall,
With man now dead in sinfulness, saved only by God’s Righteousness.

Righteousness apart from The Law, The Righteousness, required by all,
That is not achieved on our own, but, only provided, by The Lord alone,
Provided to all men by Jesus Christ, sent by God to earth for every life,
To accomplish what only could be done, for all men by God’s only Son.

As God’s anger must be appeased, for sinful man doing as he pleased,
Beyond The Law’s ordained sacrifice, as man’s attempt to pay the price,
As fallen sinners upon the earthly sod, to receive forgiveness from God,
That would not forgive them eternally, so He fulfilled The Law, at Calvary.

Through His Only Son, Jesus Christ, Who, was the only perfect sacrifice,
To accomplish what we could not do, He died and rose, for me and you,
Providing redemption for every man, as the Only salvation in God’s plan,
From Law to Grace, by Revelation, Christ, for all is God’s Only Salvation.

Available to all is God’s Saving Grace, not through the Law, but by Faith,
When in Christ you truly believe, by His grace, eternal life you do receive,
Receiving from God, Righteousness, through faith alone, in Christ Jesus,
Apart from The Law, in Jesus Christ, He grants all who believe eternal life.

Another Bend

With another bend in the road ahead, I’ve no need to fear or dread,
When issues change unexpectedly, my Lord’s always there for me,
In this journey as things change, my God above remains the same,
As my health changes yet again, God above is my Lord and friend.

My Lord God above changes not, whatever may be my present lot,
In my present lot, in life down here, I have no need to dread or fear,
For The Mighty Physician is over all, any cancer issue, big or small,
Cancer may be a menace friend, but my God above knows the end.

This life here is filled with uncertainty, in our preparation for Eternity,
In a world, that’s temporal at best, I am being molded by every test,
By The Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, preparing me for Eternal Life,
This through all, I must understand, through the present trial at hand.

Cancer may seem to have its way; however, Christ has the final say,
Regarding how much pain or strife, it may bring about within my life,
As God allows this present trial, He renders grace, there’s no denial,
Each morning His mercy’s new, with the strength to help me through.

Not only does God have the last say, He supplies grace day to day,
Helping me in every day and hour, while providing sustaining power,
As He winds down my present life, comforted in The Spirit of Christ,
Through this very temporal time, toward new life, that’s truly sublime.

RELACIJE

Ko bi znala prezreti,
tisto, kar ne znam…
na golih zidovih tišine
nanizano fresko
barvitih nians
minevanja,
vzgib dvignjenih vek
zatekle preteklosti,
poraslo samoto najlepšega,
ki jemlje dih in razum –
svoj dir splašene negotovosti,
bi ukrotila.

Ko bi znala prezreti,
tisto, kar ne znam…
skrajne robove svojih poti
zglajene v razpršene daljave,
šablonsko železno obleko
na plečih neizprosnih pasti –
obelodaniti boj srca,
da glas vesti,
ne bil bi neizprosen
posek času,
kot sekira stari jablani,
ki ne bo več rodila.

My Love

I need you like I need air to breathe
You encompass me and make me feel alive again....
Like having a newborn or learning how to tie your shoes
We have been through so much together and you still are my rock
When will it end....never my love.....an ode to you, I dream
You make me laugh and you made me cry
I love you and your ways; good or bad
Please love me back, seize my heart again today
You have made me feel lie a woman again......
It is like a spider web, being all engulfed......
Thank you for just being you......

Love,Kahlia

Wise Golden Advice

Just instil confidence into your mind
Then enormous relief you can find

Pray and believe in God totally
Your mind and heart will tally

Confidently perform your duty
By relying upon the Almighty

Use all your dexterity without hiding
Sure success, God will be providing

Hopefully carry on taking the next step
Angels will for you only bring the cup

Never laugh at a defective soul
Instead help that soul in its goal

Grudging is never liked by Heaven
Only to a happy man, peace is given

Observe and practice reaching perfection
Talent hugs the toiler with real affection

Honest attempt made with true guts
Helps one get many skills as assets

Nothing can equal doing of repetition
As that alone helps win the competition.

A Poem must be a Gem

If your poetry can give all courage
By supplying boldness adequately
Then there is some meaning in it
And it is approved by the Divinity

If your poem can remove tears
By deeply touching a sick heart
Definitely heaven will thank you
Calling your efforts as the noblest

If your poem can transform a mind
To march toward perfect optimism
Surely it will be by the Lord blessed
As His duty is by your fairly done

If your poem can be by all understood
Then obviously it is a great work truly
And in case the matter in it is educative
The patting from Angels will be sound

If your poem can make the World laugh
By touching the humor supplying nerves
You are sure to gain entry to Paradise
As your contribution is viewed as great

Please create a poem to render some help
Then only it is regarded as very valuable
Never confuse or create terror or horror
As all these evils are disliked by the Lord.

* RETURN JOURNEY

I forgot, was it me
in a body pile draped in dust,
still hot, bruised, burnt, a mad megalomaniac
starting a civil war, creating suicide bombers,
young virgins inhaling death?

This journey under the guns, displacing
hapless thousands, will reach destination
on thick, blood stained red, dirt road of life? Step by step
the dynasty breaks and violence, a malignant
spread overtakes the bones

of avatars; the round bloodshot eyes
cross the barriers of silence and step out
from the skin: they were bombing
his bunker.

*On the death of Vellupillai Prabhakaran, LTTE Leader

* THE DEAD TIGER

the hunt begins after sunset
under cracked moon, blindfolded clouds
start visiting volitionlessly:

the nesting eagles, I choose
this bitter absurdity of large wings
under the sun, where they will announce the shade,

a lonely patch of life, of signature
kill of future, the metamorphosis of a street
into unending wait;

undress the sleeping lion
of combat fatigue, his brain splattered,
the dreams moved like tectonic plates

Michel Galiana

An unhappy young man

1. An unhappy young man, forsaken and alone
Was by his parents' death left to live on his own;
Now, since he was so young, go begging could he dare?
Compassionate folks came and of him they took care.

2. A man in these parts heard of his destitution.
Hastened to make the best of the situation.
"That you work on my estate is what I propose;"
The young man said "I can't. I have no working clothes"

3. "To be sure, I would be able to drive a plough,
But I am so poor that I have no spade or hoe"
And the four crowns they cost I never could afford.
Lend them to me, I shall pay you back, on my word."

4. The farmer hired him on a very long term;
A farmhand he had found, reliable and firm.
Yet one day the lad failed to report to his boss,
Leaving the latter to ponder over his loss.

5. Sometime later he was, upon a handful straw,
Found dead in the far slum where he used to withdraw.
His employer, alas, whose heart was hard as stone
When the corpse was removed from there was heard to moan:

6. "To heaven he shan't go as long as I'm not paid,
For he owes me four crowns I have lent him ahead."
And barely three days after, a young lad required
Employment in this very farm and he was hired.

7. Upon the fields he worked as hard as the best three.
But when lunch time was rung the young lad used to flee.
The others wondered and did their best to retain
Him, asking him to eat and drink with them. In vain.

8. He stayed out of the way, as if he was in pain,
Threw himself on his knees, as in wait of being slain.
And the cruel-hearted man, with disapproving frown,
Went and asked for advice the parson of the town.

9. "Over there is a man, as hard as three working,
But curiously enough, with neither food nor drink."
"Sir, you may return home, don't tell them that you came.
I shall call tomorrow. The hour will be the same."

10. Overnight the divine was informed by God's grace,
That it was a dead soul who was haunting the place.
"What are you looking for? Say, what is your demand?
- Four crowns I owe this man, I received from his hand."

11. "The master of this farm lent me once those four crowns:
To pay them back in work now I have been sent down.
And I won't be admitted to heaven's delight
As long as my angel did not tell me I might."

12. When the reverend priest came the four crowns to pay,
The heartless man was punished in a dreadful way:
When to seize the money he had proffered his hand,
His whole right arm from the shoulder fell to the ground!

13. "In Heaven, both of us will meet again, parson,
Of which I was made worthy by your compassion.
The farmer you did pay and all is in good trim.
Instead of casting blame, let's pray to God for him!"

Translated from the Breton  (original title:"Un den yaouank, siwazh!")
