Sharing Our Joy

The Lord cultivates His joy in us, through the Spirit of Christ Jesus,
A joy, found in Christian brothers, joy we need to share with others,
Led by The Spirit of Jesus Christ, may the joy from God fill our life,
This as we move from the pews, to share with men His Good News.

While traveling on this earthly sod, it’s the plan and purpose of God,
For all the believers who weekly perch, in the pews of God’s Church,
All who have come through Calvary, who in Jesus Christ have liberty,
Through His Spirit we have received, when in Christ we truly believed.

Now, in the flesh we mustn’t walk, but, we must live our Christian talk,
Our former ways we must reject, for we are truly the Lord God’s elect,
Chosen by The Lord God above, to walk in God’s joy and in His love,
As we now live in a newness of life, as we walk in The Spirit of Christ.

Through God’s power of salvation, we’re now in Christ a new creation,
To the old sinful flesh we have died, now in The Spirit we must abide,
That change to joy in our behavior, comes from abiding in our Savior,
Christ, who gives us joy and peace, which, from God will never cease.

The joy we share with others friend, is from a Hope that will never end,
The joy and hope from Jesus Christ, throughout all aspects of our life,
This includes every trial and test, where in The Lord Jesus, we can rest,
Through all of our present suffering, as we serve in joy Christ our King.

To Hope

                  Wait not for my return,
soon, as time fades, I will be forgotten.

Let go of this hand, dearest of all,
it is not you but I, who cannot see me crawl.

Let me fly into the fogs where great waves may lay,
worry not, dearest! Surely I have foreseen this day.

Down at the fen (cavatina)

Down at the fen small red weavers twitter,
they do frolic,
are joyous fluttering from reed to reed
while mud do stick
to my boots, as it seems impassable
and soft and thick.
Reeds grow; weeping willows give their shadow,
in a world that I do not really know.

I have seen some fading red roses (cavatina)

I have seen some fading red roses,
pink hollyhocks,
all withering at the end of summer,
stripped like rocks,
many trees standing like huge skeletons;
the sheer amok
that black ripe brings as it falls destroying,
and that all life has also an ending

I remember her fluttering (cavatina)

I remember her fluttering, a bird
at the window,
twittering as if calling me to her,
a small shadow
on the ledge, finding a new kind of world
she did not know;
that she moved on the day of her death,
great pain then took away my very breath

DEATH'S REVERSAL

Coming to cephalic withdrawl,
sharing a deadly delusion,
O my world -
I will not ask,
I will not take back.
For my own liberation, I will set you free.

I am reversing myself,
my battles are still raging.
The flames have reached the tallest branches,
naked in sky:
Verga, why the drops are not going to come down?

Going alone in the woods,
to find the skeletons, in the shades of grief,
a deathless comp of apostates,
to start a revolution, we become
carpenters, carving totems.

The question marks are increasing
in wrinkles. On the shoulders of a lone tree
a black bird sings to an old moon.
Are there any worlds beyond the stars?

Inspired by a poem of famous urdu poet Allama Iqbal

ABHI ISHQ KE IMTIHAN AUR BHE HAIN
SITARON KE AAGAI JAHAN AUR BHE HAIN

She was like a girl lost happily (cavatina)

She was like a girl lost happily
in a attic,
when she told me of her childhood, of things
that catch and trick,
of some magic bottles in the pantry,
her tongue did lick
her lips in great excitement, we looked
at some semi-precious rocks, she was hooked

on a blue necklace of glowing sapphire,
amazing hued,
with a unknown fire in its blazing depths,
we were then glued
to imaginings, flights of fantasy;
just by some blued
gemstones that catch the eye in their sparkling
and being with her was quite exciting.

I have found a kind of pure innocence (cavatina)

I have found a kind of pure innocence
in your bright eyes,
in your words great sincerity and truth,
you tell no lies,
I will not stare at you, vex your feelings,
act grave and wise
but just want to know the depths of your soul,
find happiness in a world that is foul.

We did linger in each others company (cavatina)

We did linger in each others company
for long moments,
I could bring smiles to the faces of others,
but my comments
did not do a thing to your lovely face,
even events
of happy times were only slipping past you
and I wondered about what to do?

In the strangeness behind you pretty eyes
I want to dwell,
to explore the world that’s inside your head,
I do know well
that there are things that are hidden, that we
do not just tell,
the things in our lives, even if just small,
help us to rise high and to slip and fall.

Eclipse

Like a Godly sign
of tranquil illustrious sanctity
a shadow falls over me
and it’s falling further and further

and the moon does colour
to copper-red,
the light becomes dark
and stars near to the eclipse
become visible in brought daylight.

There is darkness falling over the earth
as far as my eyes can see
while the moon does extinguish the sun
and the sun becomes black
in a full eclipse
and the sun has a photosphere
with a blue-white hue
that hangs around it.

It’s almost as if God Himself
is holding out His hand
and now creates a shadow
to protect the earth
from a flaming star.

What great events
are now waiting upon this earth
that is torn by wars,
by disasters, suffering and human misery?
