Poem: Comfort Zone

O my Lord, long ago I accepted the idea
of being open and accepting of change.
My resistance was ultimately futile, when…
Salvation caused my life to be rearranged.

For my perspective was spiritually altered
and my heart was subtly humbled by You;
when ready, I sought after Your Kingdom,
knowing that I would remain in Your view.

Know that there can be joy in serving others,
which is complemented with learning opportunities;
depths of understanding can be accelerated,
for we’re taught to look differently and see…

the holy lessons Christ has intended for us!
Interactions with the Body of Christ may be hard,
since the religious honing of ‘iron against iron’
can leave one’s soul feeling dulled and scarred.

Spiritual maturity is an important aspect
in the development of faith that can’t be overblown;
for a real relationship with Christ insures that…
His Children are pushed - out of their comfort zone.

Author Notes:

Loosely based on:
Matt 8:20, Prov 27:17 and the following commentary from Abraham Israel

At the same time when Jesus said, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” (Matt 8:20), it does not mean that Jesus described how poor He was to not even have a place to rest or buy a pillow and a mat to sleep. Instead Jesus used a figure of speech to convey to the certain scribe who came and said to Him, “Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go,” that when he wants to follow Jesus who does the will of God all the time according to heaven's instruction, then he has to forget about having a permanent place to sleep and a comfortable bed time. Implicitly Jesus was saying to that scribe who was very excited about following Jesus, that in the will of God, persecution might come and he will have flee from place to place, they might catch hold of him and bring him before kings and governors as a testimony for God, then from time to time food will not be placed in a table to be eaten and a time when no proper place to rest also might arise at certain times. And to another disciple who wanted to follow him, Jesus clearly expressed that in the will of God he might have to leave his father and mother and his fleshly family and relatives to go away to fulfill the will of God for his life. Sadly both of these above people did not follow Jesus further because they felt that the cost of the discipleship was great and that they were not able to leave their comfort zones.

But if we are thankful to God in the will of God with a gratitude for giving life as a gift to experience and not just hold on to our bodily comfort as the prime priority even above obeying the voice of God, then we will be very happy, joyful and content like the family above to experience heaven on earth again and again. Then we will also be followers of Jesus and his true disciples in the world as long as we are present. May God help us to be the true followers of Jesus!

Poem: Climate for Miracles

Never doubt the Love of God and His promises;
for with Jehovah, all things are eternally possible.
Nothing is beyond the grasp of His hand, since He is…
Creator of the Universe and Master of the impossible.

Therefore, chose to believe in heavenly miracles
and honestly respect His “Law of Agreement”.
Discard spiritual doubts and confess your sin;
enlarge your faith and renew your commitment.

Speak continually against the mounting issues of life,
for with focused faith, they can be removed from view.
Hold out for God’s best… by applying His Principles!
Know that He honors His Word and the results are true.

Accept the unexplainable; His ways are superior to ours.
Take human limits off God’s ability; expect a turn-around.
Practice all tenets of faith and walk in His Light;
insure that your ideology is always Scripturally sound.

A climate for miracles… is still possible today,
when recognizing that Christ is the Life, Truth and Way!

I AM HERE FOR YOU!

I AM HERE FOR YOU,
TO MAKE YOU SMILE.
WHEN YOU'RE FEELING DOWN,
TO WALK THAT LAST MILE...

I AM HERE FOR YOU,
TO EASE YOUR PAIN.
AND DRY YOUR TEARS,
WHEN THEY FALL LIKE RAIN..

I AM HERE FOR YOU,
WHEN YOU NEED ME,
TO STAND BESIDE YOU,
AND I, ALWAYS WILL BE..

I AM HERE FOR YOU,
WHEN YOU NEED A FRIEND.
TO TELL YOUR TROUBLES TO,
AND I AM HERE TILL THE END...

Farewell conversation

To you I tried to write a long poem
but did become deeper engaged in sadness
and later did draw lines through the words,
and I did cry and wrote no verses to you
as to me it was a task that I could not do.
To you I tried to write a long poem

but you did not want to be in love with me
and I am only blinded by the great pain
and now nothing really does matter.
but to you I tried to write a long poem.

Evanescence

Far too quickly life does past
and even meaning comes to a end
while loved ones disappear one after the other
without anyone being able to change anything of it
and it’s as if pain does cut right through your body.
Far too quickly life does past

and even thoughts do not want to stay with you
and jolliness and youth are bound to time
while everything passes quickly
and totally alone life leaves everyone.

When time does bring me nearer

When time does bring me nearer
and all of my years are running out
at a time and place where I loose my mind
and do forget myself and all of my writings
then life does become an ugly thing.
When time does bring me nearer

then I ask the Father to act
to prepare a place for me at His time
to be sorry for me in His great mercy
and to end my life to bring it to its fullness.

CROSSBARS

The depression,
human brand was trapped.

They were talking about
the nukes.

To annihilate
the earth. It was elemental,

I said. An ardent
fan of moon.

A lark asks
who will survive?

Faith, No Belief

History presents itself anonymously,
The strains and chains prevail,
Unblocking itself in a mystical of legends,
Subconsciously no one can derail.

Religious beliefs hold the science of life,
As facts continue to break the ice,
Belief becomes stronger through our own demise,
But where is our lord and savior Jesus Christ?

Faith penetrates our soul with soothing remedies,
A gifted light glowing through our own betrayals,
Day by day the belief we all came to surmise,
Fosters away in the portrait of portrayals,

Oh bible, bible, where art thou truth?
Bring us peace and comfort, for which we long,
Take our hands and increase our faith,
Diminish these demons, belief of anything wrong,

I cannot seem but to face hell,
Judging by the prayers I scream to most,
There was no God to take my pain,
It was my belief that seemed to hold its post,

Growing up strong, religious, and full,
I led a childhood facing guilt all alone,
When my beliefs held strong and life would proceed,
It was stricken away; I to be tossed into the snow,

Prehistory declares no documented proof,
It’s our belief that keeps us in tact,
We begin to deteriorate in our own passion,
As you left our belief swollen and cracked,

Show yourself to me as I regain life,
Emotionally holding on to what is right,
Prove to me now oh so help me God,
Guide me with your nautical light,

Show this faith something to believe,
Otherwise I shall fade,
My faith is strong but my belief is gone,
And I shall pray no more upon this day.

You'll Never Know

You don't understand,
What it is I must do,
Either I struggle alone or fall,
As a failure of dreams to prove,

I can never gain momentum,
I rest as a being of potential energy,
Not a crack of light or a dull of thunder,
Can budge this guilt with redundancy,

To feel what coarses within me,
No man could ever one day relive,
Beyond years of pain and heavy remorse,
What is left of me to give?

A million plus dreams,
Only to equal an epiphany of a sham,
The remedy, the nightmares, the experience,
Vanished to live with the damned,

You'll never know the mistakes I've made,
Even if it is walking down the street,
The only thing it does is haunt me,
So now the devil is who I will meet.

Time In Life

There’s a time in my life,
A time where I only struggle,
Beaten by the burden of love,
Bleeding life, as I begin to crumble,

Time and time again,
I can only pity the fact of this,
My dreams came and went through the furnace,
Something my heart will forever miss,

I only had one dream in this life,
One dream to make everything right,
It seems as if I failed as a person,
So I remain out of sight,

There’s a true moral behind each heart,
Mine is too long to describe,
It’s been torn up and ripped out,
Deprived from the meaning of life,

You take chances and fight hard,
That’s the way we go,
We hit the ground and get right back up,
But for me, this is getting old,

Consciously my mind races,
It talks to me through each moment,
It tells me it don’t know how much it can take,
The street is life but I’m the rodent,

Slowly reaching the end,
I hold my hands out during each step,
In my heart I want to reach my finish,
To forever be locked away in my own depth,

I’m sick of sorrow haunting me,
The guilt of Karma and all its games,
The pain and frustration I have felt,
Only I can’t not say no names,

One day my time will come,
One day I will be wiped away,
From the time being until I am home,
I will be guilt stricken… as I pray.
