In a way I know you well

In a way I know you well
and in a way I do not know you at all
while things that is great and small
does tales of your personality tell.

and with you I do experience bliss,
and never knew that it could be like this
as if every touch has a own sanctity
as if there is something special in each kiss.

ARMISTICE

unrearthing the fallen saint
you wash your feet
and enter the temple of forgotten god:

cult of escapc from
tangled half- truths
with dramatic entry of hysterics

you fail to accept yourself,
the grieving death – mask
transcends a fresco

labyrinthine, spacey
soul-sick mates
disputing for no things

the unstained shirt
reminds the absence
you bake a new recipe

Patient One

FOR MANY YEARS they crowded me -
they grew so very tall...
but You, my Lord, had stunted me -
created me so small.

They pushed me off and stole the sun,
and rose up to the sky...
but every year You held me down,
and I had wondered why.

The winds and rain blew very hard
beneath them I was crushed...
and You, my Lord, had gone away,
my blaring screams were hushed.

For many years this happened -
and they'd ignore my plea...
and You, my Lord, seemed not to care,
when they would laugh at me.

---

So many years have passed since then -
a hundred years or so...
yet you, my Lord, answered my prayers,
and patience helped me grow.

A million weeds had laughed at me -
yet long ago they passed...
and you, dear Lord, protected me,
just as my prayers had asked.

For many years Your little tree -
was pushed around by weed...
but oh, dear Lord, You strengthened me
and met my every need.

And now today, I tower high.
I'm seen for many miles -
but oh, dear Lord, You taught me well,
and humbled all my smiles.

Poem: Tears of Contrition

Circumcise my sinful heart completely,
cutting away the unnecessary leaven;
give me Christ’s aching heart for others,
that they may hear the message of Heaven.

Consume my existence with Your Presence;
permit my measure of faith to expand;
train my tongue the fervency of prayer;
demonstrate O Lord, the working of Your Hand.

As a Child of promise with sober reflection,
allow me to share Your anguish for the lost.
Wash over me with the wisdom to persevere,
since my Lord has paid sin’s ultimate cost.

Teach me more about eternal damnation;
genuinely imbue my spirit with fervent devotion;
allow this soul to experience true sorrow
with latter rains from… tears of contrition.

Poem: Destiny Helpers

Many have heard that “No man is an island.”
And over most circumstances, no one has control.
So I ask you… “Have you found purpose for your life?”
“With your identity, are you fulfilling your role?”

Escape the snare of delusional grandeur,
for God Almighty has an assignment for you.
Are you prepared with your life skills
and has your Kingdom mission come into view?

Previous individuals came to you (before me)
and broke the fallow ground of your heart.
Has the message of Salvation burst within you?
Are you wanting to serve, but have not started?

Has the “sown seed” inside you… been watered?
Are you on the verge of a spiritual epiphany?
Do you require wisdom, guidance or experience?
Can you determine, why you’re unable to see?

The grittiness of human interaction serves us
as “sandpaper of life”, softening one’s spirit.
We’re to learn from each other, apply God’s Word
and strive to live life… without earthly limits.

Having vested interests in others
helps us to sincerely love one another;
walking in Godly unions and relationships,
bonds us as Christian sisters and brothers.

Remember the complete story of Queen Esther,
whose success was possible by efforts of Mordecai.
Become involved in the ministry of destiny helpers…
For Christ promised to meet our needs against His Supply.

PEN POWER

The voice of a commoner,
The problems of the poor,
Woes of the downtrodden,
Issues of suffering women,
Anyone to hear their story
And restore lost glory,
By lending a patient ear,
To redeem without fear?
Perhaps, a prolific writer
With mighty pen power,
By delving on violation issues,
Highlighting oppressed issues,
Acknowledging responsibilities,
Shouldering difficulties,
Concerning the victimized masses.

Patient

Will an ambulance come and fetch him today,
to take him away to the hospital
where everything is different and smells of iodine
where they will radiate him once more?
Will he free from the treatment of radium
see the sun splash through an open window,
will he be allowed to eat a piece of stake
that was prepared medium, to his taste,
before his health does totally fail,
will he have the chance to notice weavers on the branches outside
with someone serving him tea or coffee?
Or will his wife’s voice clap like thunder
when he nears the end of his life
and force him to the cancer ward?

To silence

At a hospital bed there are people praying
while they sit on hard benches like those that are harassed
and a pleasant little girl lies unconscious and soundless,
with her face behind a white mask of pain.

There are drops flowing into an intravenous apparatus, drop upon drop,
a monitor measuring her heartbeat constantly
and this picture I cannot forget,
as I see her frolicking past in my thoughts

with blue eyes that laugh full of joy,
like a ray of sun on each new morning,
as a picture of energy
and now she has gone to silence as if death is waiting.

Hospitals

I am amazed
that a hospital
stays a place of hope and despair,
where people come into life
and come to the end of their lives,
where they kiss each other
in pure joy
or where tears of regret, of pain
stream unstoppable down cheeks
and still it stays a place of hope
that life will again come right,
as if doctors have a kind of capability
as if the hand of God
at times are resting on hospitals
and as if He is always somewhere present.
