Kiss you in moments I might (Persian / Rubiyat quatrains)

Kiss you in moments I might,
while the depth of my love is out of sight
and the dawn breaks red
shattering the dark starry night

and there is something great to first light
as the morning comes open and bright
while we both lie comfortable in bed
and the sun becomes hot and white.

Daily you do your love express (Persian / Rubiyat quatrain)

Daily you do your love express
in every minute of wakefulness
and even when you are asleep
there is a sweet message in your quietness.

Cloud 33

When enveloped within her caress
One will have come to master the conception
That blackness isn’t as careless as she seems

Murmuring monotonous nocturnes
To inaugurate safety
And endorse loyalty

Now it is not entirely certain
Whether such knowledge
Is deemed fallacious or authoritative
Though does there exist a plausible reason
For such subjective musings?

UNABUSED

The bone line travels
from flesh to flesh,
tears into blood.
I was not crude, not blunt.
Dew teasers,

were my guests with luggage
of pain, ready to dip to taste
the language of surrender.
There was no acrimony
between enemies.

Across a hot blazing desert
walking barefoot to find you
in a vein of green water, O my curse
I will scoop you into my poem
to become a daisy.

His Works

He laid a sheet of paper down
upon a table top -
and from his chair he wrote and wrote
so faithfully, non-stop.

They laughed at him and bragged about
the works that they had done.
They filled vast reams of papers, yet -
he had but only one.

They boasted of the many works
their fancy hands exposed.
Great works in rich calligraphy
were pridefully disclosed.

Again they stood around and laughed,
but never did he gloat.
They laughed and scoffed and scoffed and laughed
at everything he wrote..

His life was written on one page -
but what? I didn't know.
The paper he had laying there
was as the driven snow.

Sorrow filled his teary face.
This world fatigued his soul.
The agony that he endured
had taken quite a toll.

I saw that many people judged,
made fun of and demeaned,
ridiculed and criticized
his works that they had seen.

Yet faithfully, he wrote much more.
Were no works written there?
Still blank, his paper had appeared.
I thought it quite unfair.

Unfair that he was working hard
on words that wouldn't be.
Unfair that he was judged by those
on work they couldn't see.

Sometimes we think life's all in vain -
those things we do for God -
but He knows every one of us
and how, through life, we've trod.

So why was his completely blank?
Confused, I sat to think -
but then I learned his words were penned
with tears instead of ink.

It's not the works that we can see
that's valued on our page -
but rather what was done in love
that God will one day gauge.

Poem: Transforming Power

The foolishness of Jehovah is…
wiser than the intellect of Mankind.
The overwhelming evidence is available,
by examining the thoughts of His mind.

Some may ask: “How is that possible?”
By reading and studying His Holy Word.
The Scriptures were divinely inspired
and in the hearts of men were stirred.

Love conquers all, from the “inside out”,
by the piercing of the human heart.
For Love requires deliberate action
and not interpretations of a star chart.

The challenges of life are before us;
principles and truths can be our strong tower.
Victories are promised when we chose…
to unleash God’s transforming power.

Poem: Toxic Doctrines

Are your ears being tickled?
Is your soul’s carnality being fed?
Are you running on the wrong path?
Are you blindly being led?

What is your theology?
What do you really believe?
Where will you spend eternity?
Does The Word match… what you perceive?

Continually, out of your mouth,
the desires of your heart flow;
understand your true motivation;
move beyond the Church’s status quo.

Be humbly filled with The Spirit
and receive God’s holy unction;
ask for your vision, insuring…
that your gifts properly function.

God is examining your heart,
against Truth’s only baseline!
Are you devouring the Scriptures
or feeding on some… toxic doctrines?

Poem: Intellectual Postulations

Sadly, there are many intellectual postulations
that are well meaning, but fatally flawed.
One can only end up with an unholy mixture from…
combining Man’s religious views with God’s Law.

Beyond the constraints of the mental realm,
the human template of thought cannot contain God.
Yet after more than two thousand years of Church,
lessons are still not learned; so it’s not odd…

to see a skeptical world, groaning and grasping
for rays of hope and light and salvation.
God’s truth can stand on its own, not needing
to be couched within feeble human traditions.

The multitude of meaningless rhetoric
will ultimately reveal the heart of a fool;
this idea demonstrates that the Church really needs…
Christ in its heart to reign and to rule.

It’s shameful to see an inability to ‘walk in love’;
unfortunately, it seems to appear everywhere today;
stop ignoring the basic, Biblical truths, for…
Christ declared Himself to be the Life, Truth and Way.

HORIZON

Strolling on the sandy beach,
Enjoying the cool gentle breeze,
I looked at the people around.
Little children built sand-castles,
Young couples sat close together,
Elderly people enjoyed the waves.
My eyes fell upon a pair -
A grandchild and a grandfather,
Talking and munching ground-nuts.
One rising sun, the other setting...
Miles apart, yet, both rising and setting
At the same place - the horizon.

HATING TO DO

To get my dues I come to your door
talking to myself
Today I will present you
my theme song in a live shooting belt.

A confined thought had
the influence fading away
It was a stark, frightful
journey to venus.

Will not tell everything
about the wounds of earth.
It was raging. You tell lies
for seeking liberation from commitments.

Trading abuses when love was lost,
the ancient tribe plays a game.
You have let me grow into a tree
standing at the dirty drain of life.
