Crepuscular Magic
Oh what magic tonight!
The shawl of night
cloaks the earth and sea,
Shore-side flooded with liquid blue-moon
and
waves of silver crested guitar chords.
Translucent foam and chromatic
fish scales
glitter and crash upon the still rocks of the break-wall.
The ebb of the lake, an eternal dace
extending in every direction.
Let us surrender to the tide's animal magnetism.
Let it carry us
away, inundate ourselves in unknown depths.
The night's shadowy arms are
open for us,
the full body of the moon awaits.
Let us leave the
comfort of the shore, my love,
Let us challenge the edges of earth,
the
nonexistent edges, with our love,
our lives' preserve.
