NEW YEAR'S EVE

The city skyline is burning
As fireworks light up your eyes
Open the bottle of wine
Lying in your lap
As we sit and wait

For the New Year
For a new life

"Yesterday brought so much sorrow"
As tears swell in your eyes
I slowly reach for your hand
And as the clock strikes 12
Our lips collide

For our first kiss
Of the New Year
Heaven is watching
Hearts are flaming

Slowly but surely
We're making this the best moment of our lives
Of our young lives

The night is dying
Morning is waking
A new beginning
Rises with the sun

YOU

I saw a rainbow flashing
Outside my window
Its end right in front of me
My pot of gold
Within my reach

Then I realized
It was you

I saw a shooting star
Blazing across the sky
Closed my eyes and made a wish
Lucky me
It came true

Cause there you were
Reaching for my hand

I feel cold
During rainy days
A cup of coffee is not enough
No need to worry
Cause you are here

You are my sweater
Keeping me warm

There’s nobody here I believe in
Except you

SWEET KILLINGS

No place in this world
I've deciphered many puzzles and tricks
But today just dissapeared, and I haven't figured out why
Lost smiles, awakened sorrows
Now drowning in my own regret
Your light saved me somehow
But now every inch seems miles away

In this solitary room rests a one way ticket to my grave
A one way ticket to my grave
Fading memories of yesterday I tried to embrace
But just like your hand it slipped from my grasp

No place in this world
Stripped and auctioned to the demons
I am the only one who cannot forgive myself
We both fell at the same time
But you have wings that saved you
I'm a wreck.. A hopeless situation right in front of me

In this solitary room rests a one way ticket to my grave
A one way ticket to my grave
Fading memories of yesterday I tried to embrace
But just like your hand it slipped from my grasp..

Wake Up Call

Another secret slain
Devoured by the machine
In our darkest hour
The arms of Death
Welcomed us

Pay the price
For the lessons learned
Novelty coming
Royalty leaving
But still we shed the blood
The fuel of the tyrant

Relieve the pictures of happiness
The last memory you’ll have
Stare and gasp
As the great void
Comes crashing down on us

Sinners grin
As the holy ones pray
For the coming of their kingdom
“Deliver us from evil”

A crack in the palace wall
Is all we need
Then time will stop
And no one can ignore us
Our shadows will become one
Created by the brightness
Of our abhorrence

Bury Maria

Lost between those glaring eyes
Left alone in my own misery
Go on, torture me
There is nothing for you to see

Devils keep haunting me
My mouth stitched so I can't make a plea
But I do not mind
They keep me company

Complex years keep lingering
The cemetery gates slowly opening
Let out that silent scream
Don't keep your master waiting

Bury the way we were
Please do not sympathize
The song's already playing
Don't keep me waiting

I know, I know
You can read my mind
So better start hiding
Because any moment now
It'll start
The screaming
The killing...

Dying Man's Plea

Oh life, why cannot you hear!
An old man’s dying plea
Are his burdens not enough
To make your heart stir?

Passion left him long ago
Prudent and wise, yes he was
Now he knows he can’t forego
This final task dancing in his mind

As the sun sets he patiently waits
For the door to open, to hope come in
A selfish prayer mumbled with faith
“Please be here, please be here”

Alas, finally the hour came
As his life bursts through the door
A familiar face radiated the place
Beautiful as the morning glow

He smiled and cried
For the last time he held her hand
With his dying breath, he whispered
“I knew you heard my plea
I shall now rest, for my life
Is now here with me.”
