Ron Secoy, cowboy poet and cowboy at heart, lives at Central High, Oklahoma not far from Duncan and the famed Chisholm Trail. Not a cowboy by upbringing or by trade, his interest in the cowboy and cowboy poetry is in his words, “God given and a part of the big round up.” He has written something, from short stories to newspaper articles and personal journaling, most of his life. His first book, Cowboy Psalms, has come from his gut, his love for his Lord and the cowboy way of life. He lives on six acres with his wife Anneliese and daughter, Rani-Anne and a “passel of God’s creatures – 2 wolf dogs, a cow dog, a cat and two fine examples of horse flesh.”
