I sit alone.. in the night... 
                 and look up at the stars...
Remembering love I used to have...
                 that now.. just seems so far,
I watch the tule fog...
                 as it rolls in over me...
And the stars all disappear...
                 like the love that used to be,
The mist rains down upon me...
                 just like a million tears...
Like all the Angels crying...
                 as they watch me sitting here,
They know this heart is broken...
                 and lost its will to live...
For I've given everything I have... 
                 with nothing left to give,
I've done everything I can...
                 to save a love gone bad...
I guess there's just no saving... 
                 what you never really had,
But I'll always be in love with you...
                 and though you'll never know...
I'll keep you deep inside my heart...
                 where ever I may go.
