Something More Important Than Pentecostalism

I just read a post in the Facebook with a statement that says something like this:
"Sa mga nagcricriticize about sa slain in a spirit and speaking tongues:
Remember:
Slain in a spirit and speaking tongues is the evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Kapag Hindi ka nagpabaptize in the Holy Spirit, you cannot be a better genuine born again Christian. (To those who criticize the experience of being slain in the Spirit and speaking in tongues, remember: Slain in a spirit and speaking in tongues is the evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. If you haven't been baptized in the Holy Spirit, you cannot be a better genuine born again Christian.)"

I'm a Pentecostal and definitely a believer of "slain in the Spirit" experience and speaking in tongues (I had so many genuine experiences of it). But let us not forget the reality that some people who don't believe in continuationism may act more Christ-likely than those who do is undeniable. I myself have observed it in my own family.

And also, you don't need to speak in tongues or be slain in the Spirit to say you are a better Christian than those who don't believe in such experiences.. The Apostle Paul wrote in his epistle that if you do those things but you don't have love, those things means nothing (read 1 Corinthians 13). The Lord Jesus Christ Himself even warned about having charismatic/Pentecostal experience without following the Father's will; i.e., having those experience just to have something to boast about (read Matthew 7:22-23).

Of course, it's important to show that the miraculous works of the Holy Spirit should still be expected to happen especially in these last days. But let us not forget that there are things that are more important to God than these, such as showing mercy to the poor, visiting the widows, and refreshing the oppressed (read Matthew 25:34-45 and James 1:26-27).
