It’s 4 in the morning,
early September,
I’m writing this long
needed letter,
The weather is changing
and the leaves are falling,
Your voice came like a
breeze,
Left me lonely.
I had this dream the
other night that you starred in,
Lately you’ve been haunting,
Anyway-
Your face looked darker
then I remembered,
I had a short glimpse,
Thought you were
better.
You told me the air was
cold,
And you had no one to
keep you warm,
I offered you my coat-
But this is all beside
the point.
Reaching out for you,
You disappeared,
And I lost my voice,
Just as I tried to call
for you-
But that’s beside the
point too.
What I’m really trying
to say is that,
I plan to bring you
back,
Regardless of how
desperate an act.
I remember what you
told me,
After it takes you,
babe, you’re going,
I know,I know what you
told me.
I saw her standing
there,
So I wanted to sleep
with her,
I mean literally,
Just hold her against
me and sleep, all night,
‘cus the only thing
that brings you closer to me,
Is pretending her body
is your body,
Her skin, your skin,
And it all seems so
real,
So fucking real,
Until your voice comes
back to haunt me.
