going back to the time
when i was a little girl
brought back the nostalgic memories
of those good old days
looking back i found a girl
Who was woken up by her mother’s kiss,
Who made her mom run around with her food,
Who slept beside her to hear the unending tales.
And when it was her first day to school,
I remember her hands clutching her mom’s
With those tearful eyes,
When her mom left her alone amidst many strangers.
She was then a mommy’s girl.
And then she grew up.
Now, she never wakes up by that loving kiss-
She lives in a world woven by herself.
Those people who were mere strangers,
Are now her dear ones.
She has no time for those lovely tales,
Nor any time to spare for the one who was once her friend.
The girl has grown up
Losing all the innocence of her childhood.
It’s rightly said,
“The best days are the good old days”

She was then a child
Who circled around her mother
Refusing to leave her presence
The world in her eyes
Was then a fairy land
With people all around who were caring
And wanted the best of her
She believed all what she saw
And what was told to her
Everything around was fair and beautiful
And nothing felt better
Than living in this world
But then she grew up
And realized;
All that glittered was not gold
The world was a different world
Everything which felt right once
Was not right anymore
It had a darker side
Which was ugly and frightening
Not all people were good
Nnd one got to choose good and bad
She finally understood
Living here is an act of survival
This is the process of growing up
Which sometimes bring us pain
But still you gotta survive !
