Bloodless raptors over north Waziristan

The unpardonable slaughtering of
family and faith, the vital birthstones of

olive and roseate,
hallowed in the humble hands of the
shepherd of North Waziristan,
covered in harsh layers of foreign dirt by
ambivalent charcoal cowboys.
Maneuvering through untamed mountainous terrain
these bloodless birds of prey,
Mar's and Kali's hellish effigies of the eagle,

operate their heinous missions of indiscriminate death and paralysis

from remote nests.
Steel wing raptors fly above sovereign boarders and
established law
raining sterling flames with impersonal virtual ease
guffawing as the poor shattered squirter runs for cover,
relishing every
distant bugsplat.

Secluded in their holes, the white livered mice shirk
responsibility,
offering local state officials promises of treasury filled
peanut shells
in exchange for staking claim to these armchair massacres.

Our own inhumane cowardice birthing vengeful martyrs
seeking an
equal blind eye, keeping the sterile, desensitized
capital driven war
machine alive

Because You Are A Wandering Light

Because you are a wandering light
I love you that much more in the darkness.
In the dark, golden bands of cestus
cast illuminate rings that
encircle your bodice.

Nocturnal flower, Celestial centerpiece,
under the full moon your navel blooms like
soft starry trillium,
shadows flee
from your hair like the fluttering
eyes of Aphrodite.

Because you are pure gold your beauty knows
the farthest depths of the earth.
Subterrane Vault, stored in you are the
submerged secrets of the
river bed,
the sunken treasures of the cove

Guiding pillar,
Revolving tower,
Lend to my eyes your light,
so I may see the entirety
of life's great ocean.

Sustaining mineral, Shining ore,
Place just a small portion, a single coin
of your inherited fortune in my palm,
So I may purchase the world for you.

passing perpetual cemeteries en route to the eventual wedding

Like a seasoned
chain smoking
speakeasy sleuth
A mind's eye Sam Spade – I prematurely snuff out my cigarette
pick up my trusty sidekick pen,
pocket traveling notebook and survey the room.
Suspicious sundry of
circumstance and motive
outlining the alcohol enthralled milieu
As I write a pale citrine
beam of clean lemon light
illuminates the paper
thin margins,
empty space uniting each individual word
second hand smoke
upwreath
casual successions rise and dissipate,
rise and dissipate like
dusty noire barroom clockwork

My wandering attention span
scattered
in and out
a myriad of mind numbing conversations
like a hive sick
pollen drunk bee
without flower to land
stuck in the sinuous
sticky-sweet honeycomb
of day to day deja vu

Perdition's cherished tradition
Tip-tip-tipplin' time away
Drinking with a purpose
Drinking to forget
Drinking to converse
in a Sudden hiccup rumbling

feeling the night go from bad to worse

still nursing the effects of tomorrow's week long hang over

Every night--
passing perpetual cemeteries en route to the eventual wedding
Every night another daughter given away
Every night reciting more drunken vows

The groom gives his life away and still retains his suit?

nightly nuptial regurgitation
We're married to the floor
didnt we play this mad machines game already
Havent we sat in these exact broke back
rocking chairs before? --

(A year ago? A month maybe?
Yesterday? Last night?
...Perhaps in some vague
speck of memory (((
...belonging to a distant life. ...?
Who can ever remember --?
...I myself can vaguely recall ...

Staggering off in my moist riverbed shoes
After sinking my feet during a deep session
of drunken stream-side meditation
Off to the bar in search of some special native earthling...

-- someone one earth especially naïve enough to to take me home

yaw ...yaw )
yaw...)
to and fro ...
yawn.....)
yawn ...)
..... )))) yawn further
away my attention
goes
feign formal:::: feign normal
waning conversations...
blanking stares ...
Licking cocktail lips ...
flashing bedpost eyelashes ...
quickly outrunning my own pace ...

Tell me, Are you the wobbling turveying mirror talking in my dreams?

Is this the line for fun house admittance?

Are you young and trusting?
Are you willing and waiting to be broken?

Who's invading the moon at this hour?
Someone should wake and warn Buzz Aldrin!

Oh!
close the night shade – I'm bottomed out !
everyone can see straight through the
burgundy stained porthole of my submerged mouth

Ahoy!
My wine
glass remains stubborn
also hard of hearing
Its tongue wont stop gnawing
and lashing my ear

Ersatz sense of tranquility
artificial mind
alteration
false reassurances offered by
a superfluous flow of
superficial nerve stupor
Transient ghosts of self
dissipating like
so many opaque puffs of smoke

Coming down in need of a fix
the female touch is a drug!
No high like the liberating rush induced by the flesh!
Frustrations of a withdrawn heart
addiction leading my alcohol fueled pursuit
Flipping cards in search of the perfect mental match
Kindred wildness
a fellow turbulent weather lover
an untamed yet to be named sheer black sheep spirit
Someone with a shared reckless
reverence for life
though still reverential enough to enjoy
the intimacy of storm-bound summer nights

I don't care about your designer shoes!
I want a barefooted flower child for my bride!
With an Authentic tan
A true daughter of the sun!
Free flowing honey dirt locks or
hair the color of roasted coffee
sweet warm melt chocolate pools for her eyes
or an iris outshining clear bright azure skies
A smile like a sharp sexy knife
that could very well kill me!

I don't want to be bothered by another bored android!
I refuse to contend with a black berry for your attention!
I want face to face affection!
No viral or cell phone connections!

I won't sit through another mindless sappy spew
of box office radio branded love!
I don't want another girl who sits with her suburban friends
thinking acting talking and dressing
all in the same overpriced fashion

Always looking for some clown to come along
Searching for some beefed up
benefactor to bankroll material habits

See I refuse to be when of your
idols from Mtv!
That's not me! Not Me!
No not me.

Orgies and Anarchy!

OH, Who wants to hop-step down the
short porch steps with me?

Lets waltz through pools of damp
lambency, the street lights, tonight, shall be
our ball room chandeliers.

Run these listless side-streets,lickerish fiends of the night,
draped in naught save the bed's silken
sheets! Naked Ghost Dance, whishing through the
air, gliding with our tambourines in hand,
shake the forbidden salt, spice up the insipid gray land. Let us indulge in the flavors of life! take turns feeding sweet passers spoonfuls of paradise! Rhythmic foot beats, sounds of our spirits transgressing. Drunk, bald head and beard,
I pirouette, saunter, skip and sing,
brightening the lonely nights of lovely
passersby with the almonds of my silver nutshell
delivering.

O to be in full fettle! To know the vigor of old world
pioneers! To feel from the deepest inner regions the upswell of my voice – sonorous
and soaring! To shout and sing dear loved ones
new day tidings each and every morning! To pierce the eyes of silence with
spontaneous spears of laughter!

An orgy of infinite orgasms
henceforth may every poem be read! A naked invitation ushering all
earthly lovers to my bed!

I strip down to fellate the earth with
laurel lips of poesy –
My ode to you, Allen Ginsberg.

I want to impregnate the world with the
seeds of my seminal madness! I want to spawn a society of
naked,
loving, hugging
anarchy!

I want to summon Ken Kesey's ghost
Elevate society A world wide trip once last acid test
draw the the whole planet into the
pudding! Communing in the lime light of
Kosmo's backyard may we never come down!

Let us throw away all
tradition ritual manner and more
let us replace the phrase 'Thank you',
with: 'I love you'
'you're welcome',

with:
'I love you too'
What Laws laws laws so many laws prohibiting love
yet no law save than the engrained
could ever promote it.

All sex is incest in my mind
to me, that is a beautiful notion!

I want to buy a fruit cart stand in the middle of rush hour
intersections selling slices of watermelon, summer's
sanguine smiles, a penny a piece! I'll go broke exhausting body and
budget
singing and shouting poems to oncoming
traffic!

Its my goal to train my voice to
be impervious to tire tracks
Enable it to out run cars!

I want to live in a world full of
Artistic vagabonds
no where to go, nothing to spend.

Poet's Lament

O this learned and engrained sickness,
this obsession with words, sadly,

I must admit I am terminally afflicted,
The words they grow inside like
a loving cancer.

Venomous habit,
this tangled practice:

manipulating spider webs
of suffering
into ivory orchid offerings.

In vain I can strain my mind all day
but alas, to no avail,
this
veil still obfuscates the space between us.

Intruding and impeding,
uninvited
they filter through my web;
mosquitoes blemishing naked
summerlit flesh,
bits of lead and calcium
accumulated in my seer's
spigot,
muddying the cup
from which we sip and share.

Like a
horse with blinders,
these words keep me running along
this never
ending-short lived-straight forward-circular track
The words whip and I
obey!

Hah these silly empty abstractions!
Such a laughable pity how

they have made me their slave!

But let me be honest,

I'll
never have the courage to run.
There's no escaping- they are my escape!

I could never bring myself to abandon them
I've grown too accustomed to
their phantom, poetic world

My whole life is built upon these
abstractions!
I've grouped people into three basic categories:

Inspiration, Support and Distraction!

O to find haven in the land of
pure color and image,
to communicate through the soul
and forever keep
my mouth closed!

O to be a master of psychic intuition and animal
instinct!

Dry and brittle, these words, a carcass, discarded bone

void of all essential marrow

Bloated and lifeless, these moribund
words, this poem
lacking all essential qualities of health and meaning.

Crepuscular Magic

Oh what magic tonight!
The shawl of night
cloaks the earth and sea,
Shore-side flooded with liquid blue-moon
and
waves of silver crested guitar chords.

Translucent foam and chromatic
fish scales
glitter and crash upon the still rocks of the break-wall.

The ebb of the lake, an eternal dace
extending in every direction.

Let us surrender to the tide's animal magnetism.
Let it carry us
away, inundate ourselves in unknown depths.
The night's shadowy arms are
open for us,
the full body of the moon awaits.

Let us leave the
comfort of the shore, my love,
Let us challenge the edges of earth,
the
nonexistent edges, with our love,
our lives' preserve.

Cosmic Deliverance

Now alone in this empty space
I find
myself, realize my place,
seeing clearly my mistake:
fasting and
sacrificing
at the altar of art
sole life purpose sake.

Coming to find man cannot
sustain himself on art alone.
Such
hollow living, haunted death
worshiping idle symbols and
glorified
abstractions ahead of
experience direct.

Dreams tight squeezed,

confined to the controlled contents
of a single sparse room,

Deliverance 'neath the stellar threshold,
feeling the familiar embrace
of the cosmic womb.
