I went to bed,
To go to sleep.
To fall into a slumber,
That is ever so deep.

I let my mind,
Fade away.
To leave the earth,
Where I don't wish to stay.

Walking down the street,
Hand in hand.
My mind was in,
Another land.

A place where only,
You and I exist.
There's just something about you,
That's hard to resist.

We laughed,
And talked.
We danced,
And walked.

Though late at night,
We could have spoken 'til noon.
Beneath the soft glow,
Of the beautiful moon.

Throughout that night,
Never once did we part.
For your words mesmerized me,
Like a great work of art.

Everything,
It seemed,
Was nothing but,
A dream.

But every moment,
Was ever so true.
For it was that night,
I fell in love with you.

The next few months,
Were the best I've ever had.
Who knew you'd be the one,
Who'd make me so sad.

For all of a sudden,
We came to an end.
AndtThat was the day,
I lost my best friend.

You're the one,
Who broke away.
You turned my clear blue skies,
To grey.

You walked away,
And never looked back.
My whole entire life,
Fell into the darkness so black,

All I know now,
Is that I'll miss you.
Your smile, your eyes,
And your big bear hugs too.

If you don't,
Already know.
Because if you,
My death will be slow.

Now as the sun,
Rises for the dawn.
I realize now,
You're forever gone...
